Emad Mansour, PhD - Associate Director for Curriculum Development, University of South Alabama
Emad Mansour, PhD, is the Associate Director for Curriculum Development at the University of South Alabama. He holds PhDs in Plant Pathology (University of Illinois) and Education (Auburn University), as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from King’s College London. Since 2005, he has supported instructional development at institutions across three continents. His research focuses on the characteristics of excellent teaching.
WORKSHOP SUMMARY
This 1-hour workshop guides presenters in enhancing their cytometry teaching by helping them define and write measurable learning outcomes for cytometry sessions, identify best practices for facilitating engaging and interactive workshops, and structure cytometry tutorials with effective knowledge checks. Participants will gain practical strategies to design sessions that actively involve learners and ensure clear, observable learning outcomes.
